I got reunited with Lexi on Sunday after finally making it back from South America. She was just getting up from her morning nap when I arrived, and she gave me a big smile. I had prepared myself for the cold shoulder, but Lexi was just happy to see me, which made me melt. We did a lot of hugging and hanging out. Amazingly, I could tell that Lexi had grown in strength over the time that I was gone, which made me happy. Grandma Phyllis really tried to continue her PT
exercises, and it must have paid off. Lexi also has willingly pulled the bottle into her mouth the last two days. She has eaten 6 ounce bottles in 15 minutes, which absolutely has amazed us. We have even cut out another bottle and are now down to 3, which is fairly normal for an 11 month old. I'm tempted to hand her back to Grandma after all this progress, but I would miss her smile too much!

My lost luggage finally got delivered on Monday, so I could give Lexi her
souvenirs that we bought. I gave her the Carnival shaker that I got at the Samba Show, and she started shaking it, which further proved her physical development is coming along, as she hasn't had strength to shake things prior to this. She also liked her
Portuguese color book, her
Havianas (Brazilian flip flops), and her other new shoes. Her
Chilean puzzle is probably a little old for her, but we can always get her toys for the next level. Being reunited is the best feeling, as it was really hard to be away from her for a little over a week!
