Screamer

Although we are excited about Lexi standing, it also brings with it challenges that every new milestone does. Lexi wants to stand constantly these days, including in her crib. When I put her down yesterday for her nap, two seconds later, I hear this scared screaming. I went in to find her in this position. She couldn't figure out how to sit back down, so she was stuck and scared. I laid her down and left the room again. Two seconds later, same scream, same stance, same problem. Four times in a row...seriously, either figure out how to get back down or stop standing up in the crib! Finally, she was exhausted and fell asleep.

When I put her down for bed at night, I thought there isn't going to be a repeat of nap time, as she is in her harness. Yeah, right...nothing keeps this kid down, and sure enough I went in to find her standing in her harness, which totally baffled me. Hopefully the newness of standing will wear off, so we don't repeat this every day. Standing is great, but it could go without this challenge!

Taking a Stand

Lexi has figured out how to pull herself up to the standing position. Her favorite activity is to stand at the table and pound her hands on the table or come to the couch and cruise along it. The table is a little high for her, but she is doing great and continuing to build those muscles. We think she's doing such a great job with her rehabilitation.
