Lexi's actual birthday was great. She started the morning with swimming lessons, which is becoming one of her favorite things. She got to jump in from the edge of the pool as well as go down the slide in between her strokes.
We then went to Chuck E Cheese. Both kids had a good time riding the rides and didn't want to sit down to actually eat the pizza. We didn't last long, since Laura was there by herself chasing two kids pregnant, but we lasted about an hour.
She then had her first gymnastics class ever. She was so excited. Parents weren't allowed to stay, but I snapped a couple pictures before I was politely ushered out. The teachers said she did a great job in the class, especially with following directions, which we were glad to hear. When we started to leave, she just kept saying, "more, more, more," so took that as a good indication she liked that.
We ended the night with opening gifts as a family. Lexi got really excited about her new bike (probably would have been less excited if she knew mom and dad wouldn't put it together for days, since it was way more complicated than either imagined). Conner even did a good job of letting Lexi open her gifts on her own and not helping. The day taught me that my 4 year old is actually starting to grow up a little...bittersweet.
