It is so nice to have good weather and a little girl that feels well! We were able to spend some fun time with Grandma on Friday, friends on Saturday at the park, and then with cousins Saturday night. Yes, the boys just played the wii the whole time! Good to be able to making good memories and living a normal life!

St. Patty's Day
We got up this morning and swam in the pool one final time. Gavin has mastered swimming with a puddle jumper on, and Conner showed off his ability to swim on his own (doing so from one end of the pool to the other several times!). We then headed to the hospital to pick up Alexis's next medication for her seizures and then dropped her at her afternoon school. Back to reality tomorrow!
We completed the day with Leprechaun dinner and games. Dinner consisted of pesto pasta, cucumbers, apple sauce (in a green pouch), green milk, and even green ranch dressing. Conner asked how they got green. We said a leprechaun had peed in his milk. He responded, "then it would be yellow!" I guess we can't fool him.
Leprechaun games consisted of Leprechaun Lanes (bowling down the rainbow into the pot of gold), Leprechaun Leap (seeing how many shamrocks long you can jump), and the Pot of Toss (where they tossed gold coins into a pot. Then we promptly put the kids in bed and enjoyed pizza that a friend ordered for us. Much needed night off after a fun, but exhausting three days! We had a good time celebrating St. Patty's Day and on our vacation!

Fish and Horses
Our second day of staycation was mostly centered around fish and horses. Brian went into work, so the kids and I went swimming at the hotel in the morning. We then wandered over to Union Station, which has sadly really gone down hill. They did have a little water traveling exhibit that the kids had fun playing with and learning about different river fish. We also watched the Fudgery fudge making display, but that's about all that's left in Union Station. They did have some fish in the water still, so the kids had fun feeding them, while mom stood nervous wreck that one of them was going to fall into the nasty, unkept water. Luckily, we all survived!
When Brian got off work, we walked downtown further toward the arch. It was such a beautiful day...in the 80's, so just being out in the weather was fun. The kids had fun playing on the art work at CityPark. We decided to take a horse-drawn carriage ride. Although the kids were excited and intrigued, Conner was a little disapointed that we were riding in a girl's carriage (it was a Cinderella type carriage), until we convinced him that Prince Charming also rode in that carriage. Does that really start this early?
The kids had a blast again today and says this little mini-vacation was well worth it!
Yep, this is how hard it is to get a pictures with three kids:
Gavin really wanted a kiss from the horse until it actually happened!!
