Soccer Shrimps

Gavin started a soccer shrimp program today. It is an hour program where they do 1/2 skills learning and then play a game for the other 1/2. Even though Gavin had not done instructional soccer before, he has played enough in the backyard with Conner to have the skills to do the fun games they did during practice. However, when it came time for the game, he was mad that he didn't get his own ball and didn't want to play. He wanted to just sit and watch. He did know one important rule, though. When the coach said that they were to kick the ball and hit coach, Gavin said, "but we don't hit there" pointing to the area between his legs! Should be a fun little season!

Magic House

I decided to take the boys to the Magic House. As the school year comes to an end, I'm beginning to realize that my time with Conner is coming to an end too. Since he will do full day kindergarten in the fall, our afternoons are limited. So, we headed to the Magic House for a little fun before having to pick Alexis up later in the afternoon. Both boys had a blast, even though we were only able to cover about half the museum. Got to take advantage of our dwindling afternoons.
