Play Date Payback

We wanted to invite the little boy that invited Alexis to the move to do something with us. So, we told Alexis and Conner they could each invite a friend to go bowling. So, Alexis asked Tate, and Conner asked Katie (yes, Brian and I had to keep reminding ourselves which was who's friend since the genders were swapped). We picked them up, and took all the kids to the bowling alley. They had a blast! They all did a great job bowling and taking turns and helping each other. It was such a fun afternoon. We then let them play in the arcade area for a while. At the end, Conner and Katie chose matching necklaces and Tate and Alexis matching donut key chains. Gavin joined the key chain gain. It was such a blast to see the kids interact and bowl together. It was also fun to see them being silly together in the car. Most fun afternoon we have had in a while!

Going Bald

Today was the day that Conner shaved his head for St. Baldrick's. We couldn't make the event we did last year, so we opted for a different one in St. Louis that we could attend. It was held at a bar, so not quite as kid friendly, but we just kept ordering food! Gavin's teacher and two sons came, Conner's favorite teacher that plays with him once a week, our neighbors, and a little friend from Conner's class. It was a great crew to watch Conner. He was so proud of himself, and didn't even want mom to come on stage with him while he did it. He marched up there himself, stated he was doing this for his sister, and sat with a huge grin on his face as they shaved his head. We were so proud of him.


His little friend that came decided to shave his head too along with his dad. So, we waited around to see that. During that time, we had a person come and ask if they could interview Conner and Alexis. So, we headed to do that interview. Turns out it was for a journalist project for a local school, and they were so grateful that we would do that.


It turned out to be a great event, and we were so happy with all the support from our family and friends from both donations and those that made it to the event. We are so blessed and look forward to this event every year.

Donuts with Dad

Brian got to go eat donuts with Alexis at school before work. They had a donuts with dad event, and she couldn't get the grin off her face!
