Private Party

The kids got to go for a private swim at Dad's friend/co-workers house and had a blast. They got fun snacks, drinks, and their very own pool. We just hope they don't get used to this lifestyle!

Doctors

Mom had to go in for a hip replacement (remember when they said Alexis's hip displaysia was hereditary, well now we found out who from), and since returning home the kids have been playing doctor. They think the walker and blood clot leg pumps are pretty cool. They are fighting over who gets to help mom by getting water or a blanket, etc. Since recooperarion will be 4-6 weeks, we are hoping this doesn't wear off in the first couple days!

Kids Say the Darndest Things

You always hear the saying, and luckily we haven't experienced it too much, but we did this week...from two different kids.

Obviously mom doesn't wear a lot of makeup, as we were at the store, and Gavin turned to the sales clerk and said, "I looooove your lips." I didn't quite believe it and had to ask him to repeat himself, of course!

Then, we were eating dinner, and at the end, Alexis turned to the male waiter and said, "I'm going home with you," as she pointed to him. I thought Brian was going to faint! Looks like we need to talk about strangers and boys! 

Beauty and Beast

Alexis's friend was in the school district's production of Beauty and the Beast, so we went as a family to watch it. Our friends happened to be sitting the row in front of us, so Alexis quickly upgraded families. All three kids did great sitting through the production. Nice they are all getting old enough to do that.
