Gavin Reads?

As the youngest, sometimes you have to do things on your end and fend for yourself...including reading to yourself!

Police

The police were in our neighborhood and Conner was really insistent on waving to them as they drove away. The police officer was really nice and stopped. He then called Conner over and let him climb into his car. Then, he said, "Push that button," and the lights and siren started going off. Conner was beyond excited and not only getting to sit in a police car, but getting to set off sirens as well. This police officer really made our little boy's day!

Easter Celebration

We headed to the Ahlstrand's this year for Easter and had a great time. The kids loved playing with their cousins, dying Easter Eggs, having the bunny visit, and going to church.

Gavin was the funniest. He found his first egg, figured out how to pop it open. It had jelly beans, and he was sold. He sat down right there and ate every jelly bean that was in the egg. Then, Addy gave him one of her jelly bean egg, and he continued to eat those. He would have been fine sitting there and eating candy and not even finding the eggs! He really caught on and loves candy!!

Gavin loved snuggying with the million stuffed animals
Addy had in her room!

Having a swing set in the backyard was a favorite.
Even Gavin climbed up on his own and went down the slide.

We got to see all three cousins play soccer,
since that's their life these days!

The boys were ready to dye their Easter Eggs!

Gavin thought it was hilarious to put the egg dipper in his hair.
Not so funny when it had dye on it!

Yes, he was this happy dying Easter eggs...
as long as it was in his bowl.
When we tried to take his egg to give him another,
he would throw a fit.
We finally caught on that he only needed one
egg and it could sit there the whole time.

Grandma helped Lexi write her name on her egg.

The crew before hunting for their eggs.

He found the egg...

He figured out how to open the egg...

He figured out there was something inside...

He tried to put the candy back in the egg...

Then, he realized he could eat the candy
(yes, every piece that was in there in his mouth at the same time!)

Pure joy with the Easter eggs and Easter candy...we got a sweet tooth!
