Cubs Fever

The kids have gotten dad's Cub's fever. They have wanted to wear that Cub's shirts every day (which results in a lot of extra laundry for mom!). Conner has even been staying up late to watch some of the games. One morning we got up, and I asked Conner if he was even going to ask if the Cub's won, since he didn't stay up for the whole game. He responded, "No, they won. I got up and watched it on TV." He had played the DVR game to see how it had ended. I would say that is a fan in the making!

Each kid has their own player...Alexis's is Rizzo, Conner's is Bryant and Gavin's is Grandpa Ross. They are so fun to watch cheering on their player and getting excited when they get a hit or score. When they were born, we were worried they would be Cardinal fans living in St. Louis, but they have definitely sided with dad and become big Cubs fans. We will see how long this lasts this year, but regardless of the outcome, the kids have had fun rooting on the Cubs.

Halloween Party

We went to the Friends of Kids with Cancer Halloween party at Grant's Farm. The kids were able to get balloon animals, face painting, dinner, and pictures. We also had a dance party in the court yard, which was the boy's favorite activity. Alexis's favorite part was winning a Halloween wreath and plates and glasses or seeing her favorite nurse there. It was a great night!
