Helping with Gifts

Grandma Phyllis came down for the weekend, since we have Brian's boss's wedding. The kids have loved having her here, and she is so good to sit with them and look at pictures over and over and sing fun songs with them. She even let them help open her Mother's Day gifts. We love weekends like these!

Van Excitement

We recently purchased a new mini-van. Not the most exciting new purchase, but we love it, as it has all the conveniences we need for our growing family. With number three on the way, we would not have fit in the Pathfinder anymore. Besides this, this gives us automatic doors and allows the kids to crawl up into their own seats. It has been awesome!

Besides being excited about the van, we have already had some exciting adventures in it! We took Grandma Phyllis to the Elk Sanctuary to see all the animals. She and the kids absolutely loved it! I did too, until Grandma Phyllis decided to add excitement. She really wanted a picture of the bison, since they were so close to our car. So, she stuck her cell phone out the window and instead of taking a picture, proceeded to catapult it out of the window and under the bison (she'll say not under, but within 15 inches). Regardless, she sent me to rescue her cell phone from under the bison. She wasn't worried about all the signs everywhere saying "Proceed with caution," "Stay in vehicle," and "Bison have damaged cars." Given that, I don't even want to think what they could have done to me and my body. I successfully got her phone back for her and safely back into the car without any damage to me or the new car. Grandma Phyllis always provides great excitement for us!

Active Animals

We decided to take a family outing to the zoo. The morning was a little cloudy and threatening rain, which made for small crowds and active animals. The kids loved getting up close with them. They are really starting to recognize the animals and like them, which is fun. A good family outing!
