Small Town 4th of July

We decided to head to Papa's cabin for a small town 4th of July celebration. We took in the local parade and even the fireworks (even baby Gavin stayed up for the first part of them) for the 4th and then spent a couple more days. Conner loved all the candy at the parade and kept asking for more despite his overflowing bag...Lexi's favorite was the cheese stick they gave her. That pretty much sums up those two!

Jason and Erika joined us after the 4th, and we took the cable cars with Aunt Erika and Uncle Jason, and had a great time being a family. The kids loved being outside so much and playing with each other.

Lexi's 5th Birthday

Lexi turned 5 today! We spent the day getting her favorite breakfast and then going to the Magic House.  It seems like just yesterday we were in the NICU with her praying and hoping she would hold on and bless us with her life. We are glad she is such a fighter and did just that, as the last five years have been nothing but spectacular with her. She has had such growth and defied every one's beliefs. She continues to amaze us on a daily basis with her drive to succeed. She has had to fight harder than anyone should in life, and she has arisen to the occasion and beyond. We continually meet people that are as amazed as we are with where she has come. She truly is a little angel with the best smile, the biggest heart, and an ability to make a friend in anyone. We are so blessed to have shared these last five years with her and can't wait for the years to come to celebrate this amazing little girl.
