Carousel Fun

Lexi had a good weekend with Brian's cousins and aunts. They came for a visit, and she loved playing with them. We went to the zoo on Saturday, and it was absolutely stifling with the heat. However, Brian and his cousins took Lexi on the carousel, and she loved it. She was smiling the whole time and loved the animal going up and down. Next time, we might opt for the carousel at the mall, though, where there is air conditioning!

Beer Tour

Lexi went on another beer tour. Grandma Phyllis and her friend Shirley came down this weekend to hang out while daddy went on his annual Wrigley Field visit (which Lexi and I elected to skip this year given her inability to sit in one place for very long). The only item on our visitor's list, even though neither drinks beer, was to go on the AB tour. So, we went, and Lexi did pretty well once again. We figure at this rate, she's going to be able to be a tour guide there at the age of 10, as she will have the whole tour memorized. She does always enjoy the pretzels at the end and seeing the Clydesdales. We had a nice weekend.

The only low point was when we went to the gas station, and the gas cap popped off the car. So, in my pregnant state, I got down on my hands and knees on the gas station ground and looked for it. I must have looked pregnant and pathetic enough that the man behind me came to help out. After about 5 minutes of both of us looking and crawling under the car, we still couldn't find it. Finally, his daughter found it about three gas stalls over where it had rolled. Thank goodness for the nice stranger!
