Soccer Shrimps

Gavin finished his soccer league today. He had a blast and really got into it by the end. He is growing up so fast.

End of Stages

Gavin had his last day of Mother's Day out today. This marked not only his last year before preschool, but also after seven years of going here an end to our time at our church program. It was hard to think we are done with this itty bitty stage. Ms. Melanie had been such a great teacher for our kids and so grateful she is not only a friend, but a great influence in our kids lives!

First haircut

Almost two years after starting chemo and having her hair fall out, it has finally grown enough for Alexis to need a first haircut again!

When I went to schedule the appt with the only person who has ever cut Alexis's hair (and who shaved it when it was falling out), I found out she had left that salon. Since I was a little attached to her, I stalked her and tracked her down, and we found out Ms. Becky has started her own travel haircut business.  She literally brings everything to your house and cuts the hair, cleans up and leaves. No entertaining the kids at a salon, no finding a sitter to get your own hair cut, no driving, no wait. It's so amazing and convenient. The other kids literally played uno with me and ate dinner at our house while Alexis and Gavin took turns getting their hair cut. Win-win for us!

Brownie

Alexis bridged today from a Girl Scout to a Brownie. This is such a great group of girls!

Home for Mother's Day!

Alexis got to come home Saturday afternoon, so Laura got to wake up on Mother's Day with all three kids greeting her with flowers and donuts in bed. We then proceeded to go to Six Flags for just a couple hours, but enough time to hit the roller coaster, two water rides and some kid rides. We finished with lunch and a nice relaxing afternoon at home. The most important gift was having Alexis at home and all being together.
