Conner has recently started pushing up on all fours. He doesn't stay up for long, and most of the time he ends up on his hands and feet, instead of hand and knees, but he's getting the idea. He always is quite proud of himself for this accomplishment and manages to swirl around to get all sorts of toys. He is a man on the move these days.

Daddy's Minni-Me
Brian's mom had saved some of his baby clothes for the last 30 years. She brought some down, including this 3-6 month outfit, which was a little tight on our big man. It was still fun to see him in Brian's old clothes. The most amazing thing were the strings on the jacket...something they would never allow on clothes these days for the safety! Conner and Brian both wore this outfit around 4 1/2 months, and both weighed around 18 pounds at the time. Unfortunately, we both still think Conner most resembles Laura's Dad Steve, after whom he is named, but Conner did get daddy's hair color.

Lessons for Daddy
Brian has President's Day off, so he's taking care of the kids this morning, so Laura can get some additional work done. Having Dad do the main duties of the house is fun and educational. For example, Brian went to feed Conner his cereal this morning, but had forgotten to grab a bib, so he went to get one. Conner decided he didn't want to wait that long for his food, so he promptly grabbed the bowl, pulled it to him, got the spoon and tried to flip it into his mouth. He was more successful at getting the food all over his face than in his mouth, but he did succeed in teaching Dad that you can't leave the kid alone with food in reach or you will have a mess.

February Sun
We took advantage of both the 75 degree weather in Feb and extra hands with Grandma and Grandpa in town and took the kids to Suson Park.
Lexi enjoyed the playground, despite 800 other families there enjoying the weather as well. She got in a good PT workout, climbing up the stairs and going down the slide. She repeated this over and over. For the most part she was patient, but one girl was sitting a little too long at the top, and she decided to give her a little help. Luckily, Lexi doesn't have a lot of force behind her hands, and she quickly listened when we told her no.

Suson Park also has animals for the kids to see. We saw a pig, ducks, and goats. Lexi really liked seeing the animals and kept point at all of them. It was a great day to enjoy the weather and the educational opportunities.
