This year we would like all of your help to give kids with cancer a little smile. At Alexis's hospital the kids get to go to the treasure chest on treatment day to pick a prize and give them something to smile about among all the pokes and chemos, etc. During this season of giving, we would like to give back to that treasure chest, as it is only possible through donations. We are doing a family project to collect new items for the treasure chest. They are in need of board games, crafts and toys for boys. They can also use girls toys, but not as big of a need. They do NOT need Barbies, coloring books or crayons/markers, as they have an abundance of these. As you begin your holiday shopping, please consider making a donation to help us give back to a hospital that has given so much to us. Should be easy to pick up an extra game or toy during your Black Friday shopping, etc. For anyone in Iowa, you can drop off donations with Phyllis Thorne Ahlstrand or Deb Graue Bunch. We will be delivering the items to the hospital a couple days after Christmas for Alexis's next treatment, so please make any donations by Christmas.
