Daddy Daughter Dance

Lexi and Brian went to their first Daddy Daughter Dance. They had a blast. The night started with a pasta dinner and continued with crafts and dancing. They stayed the whole time. Lexi's favorite thing was throwing the balloons up in the air and trying to catch them. The best part of the night was, "no mommy, no Conner, no Baby Gavin."

Third Child Shaft

Gavin certainly gets the shaft as the third child. These days, we are always running Lexi and Conner to speech, gymnastics, and swim lessons which means Gavin doesn't get a lot of scheduled naps. Therefore, he tries to catch up on zzz's whenever and wherever he gets a chance.

Spring Fever

We don't know what Groundhog Day foretold a few weeks ago, but President's Day sure forecast an early spring. President's Day Monday brought some 60-degree weather with it for a very brief period of time, before torrential rains and hurricane winds rolled into town. We were able to get out ahead of it and squeeze in about an hour at the park in the morning, and the kids loved a rare winter opportunity to get outside and play for awhile.

Veggie Tales

Gavin has been lobbying for 2 solid meals per day ever since we introduced rice cereal a couple weeks ago. For his five month birthday, we finally obliged, giving him rice cereal in the morning and some veggies this evening. He didn't quite dig his green beans as much as his cereal, but he still gobbled them up and appreciated some 'real food' nonetheless.
