Lexi and I came back to the Quad Cities to stay with my mom during and after her knee surgery. Grandma Phyllis came home today from the hospital, and Lexi immediately thought she had a new best friend. Mom has to use a walker for a couple weeks until her knee heals, so Lexi thought it was great fun to play chase with Grandma around the house.
By the end of the day, she was even trying to upgrade by stealing Grandma's walker. Both are entertained by it, and they both need to strengthen their legs, so I guess Lexi is right that Grandma and her are at the same level right now. I'm just hoping that in two weeks when Grandma can walk, so can Lexi, but that might be wishful thinking on a mom's part!
