Pools and Caves

We went to see the Ahlstrand cousins for a couple days. The kids had a blast playing and going to the pool. All three kids spent the entire time at the pool jumping off the diving board into 12 feet water, swimming to the edge, getting out and doing it again. I love how much they love water!

We also went to see a cave with stalagmites and stalactites. The kids had a great time! Love the time we get to spend with cousins!

Wiffle Ball

The kids are playing on a wiffle ball team together. It is through Rainbow Kids which runs programs for kids with cancer and their siblings. They had a blast tonight not only playing, but also with the ice cream truck that came to give them whatever they wanted. Such a fun night!

Trust

Cousins came into town for a couple days. After four years of avoiding the city museum, we finally went with them. It is an amazing place of all sorts of fun things for kids to do...basically 4 stories of jungle gym. However, as a mom, they can just disappear into a hole and you don't know where they are (my worry with Gavin) and there are so many people there spreading germs (my worry with Alexis. A worry I didn't know I needed to have was with Conner being scared of being elevated in the air with just bats below him. Al four of us survived, though, and the kids had an absolute blast!! Sometimes you have to let go and trust...

Money Confusion

Alexis got a purse for her birthday from Grandma Phyllis. She has wanted to wear it non-stop since. It also came with one $20 bill in it. So, she found a ribbon toy she can dance with and wanted to buy it. It was $3. She proudly took out her $20 bill and made the payment. When the cashier have back four bills, all three kids started cheering. They were so excite that not only did she get to buy something, "but the guy gave her back more money." Clearly we need to work more on the value of each bill and not just counting how many!
