Rainbow Party
Alexis had her 8th bday party on Saturday. We did a painting party where the kids painted a mug. It was rainbow themed, so we had a rainbow cake, rainbow jello, and rainbow goldfish. She had 17 little friends come help her celebrate, and we had a blast!

Everyone's Different
We Went to BounceU today. These pictures totally sum up my kid's personalities...Alexis was so determined to do this. It took her a while, but she persevered and found a way. Conner decided he then needed to do it, but got part way up and was overcome with fear, so both the workers had to climb up and help him as he almost hyperventilated as he thought he was going to plummet to the ground. Gavin then proceeded to climb up and complete it seven times as my climber!

Cholesteatoma
Alexis had her check up with ENT today. Their goal was to get the camera in her ear to fully see the eardrum. They wanted to see if she did have a cholesteatoma. That is rapid skin production that grows into the middle ear and can do big damage. She had to hold really still, though, as if she moved, it could damage her ear. Since she gets so squirley around doctors, I wasn't sure. However, she did great and was perfect. They were able to see everything and confirmed there was no cholesteatoma, which is great news. That means no pressure for this ear surgery and we can wait until we think it is optimal time.

Special Time
With Brina gone for a week, I tried to spend special time with each kid. Conner and I went for ice cream. We talked about the upcoming school year and starting kindergarten. He said he's a little nervous, so we had a long talk about that and how it is okay to be nervous. I shared that I was always nervous to start a new school but always ended up loving it.
Gavin and I then went to Build-a-Bear for our time. We had just watched the moving "Finding Dory" with the cousins, so he chose the Dory to make. Although he had fun with the "cotten candy" machine, his favorite was the washing station, which he wanted to spend hours doing. My favorite was that they didn't have clothes for the fish, so I didn't have to spend a complete fortune!
Time well spent with both!
