We have always known that Lexi has a wonderful heart. She has to be about the sweetest kid. She is constantly tapping our shoulders asking if we want a hug, which we will accept at any point she wants to dull one out. She is always very concerned about brother (which she thinks is his name, since we call him that more than Conner). We confirmed this week what a great heart she has from a medical perspective as well. We had a follow up with the Cardiologist. Trying to hold down a determined 2 1/2 year old for an echo-cardiogram wasn't the easiest, but we got the test done and confirmed that the whole in her heart has continued to get smaller as compared to a year ago. It has gotten to the point that the right side of her heart is no longer enlarged from being over-worked and the Cardiologist confidently stated that regardless, we will not have to do surgery on her heart! We felt so blessed to get this confirmation. We need to return in two years to confirm it has closed, but we are excited to essentially have confirmation no heart surgery ever should be needed, even if it didn't close as expected. What a great, great heart!
