Lexi got to come home from the hospital today! She successfully maintained her own levels off oxygen for 24 hours, so got the green light. Toward the end of her stay, she was feeling well enough to be very antsy, but we did have some fun visits from NICU nurses, which helped. However, Alexis got in a bad habit of pointing everyone that came into her room out the door. She didn't want anyone in her room that she thought posed any risk of doing something to her. Although we talked about how rude this was, we were glad when we were pointed toward the door today! For now, we are keeping her home this week from preschool, but back to normal activities next week. In a couple weeks, we will head in for the bronchoscopy to try and determine if there are any structural damage or abnormalities with her lungs and get a game plan. Until them, we will just enjoy Lexi back at home where we can hang with both kiddos and not split time!
