Papa and Puppy

Grandpa and Grandma Bunch visited this weekend, as a little time with Gavin in the hospital a few weeks ago wasn't quite enough to satisfy their desire to see the little guy. Gavin certainly benefited from their visit, but so did Conner, who counts Grandpa and Wrigley among some of his favorite things. He spent much of the weekend hanging out with those two, and constantly keep saying Puppy Woof (he loves to showcase his knowledge of animal sounds) and Papa Boom (he loves to showcase his long memory and won't let Grandpa forget the time he hit a curb stone with the van when carting Lexi and Conner around.)

Brother time

Conner gets some good one-on-one brother time with Gavin, since Lexi is in school four days a week. He is always bringing him toys (esp. the miniature stuffed animals in the house). He also likes to try and read him books and show him things. I hope this good sharing and loving attitude continues for the rest of their lives!!

Mr. Personality

Conner is sure developing his personality these days. He has very definite opinions of what he likes and wants to do. A lot of his favorites are conflicting, like the high heels and baseball cap in this photo. He also likes to ride his Harley while holding his stuffed animal or baby doll. He is very in to his boy items, like cars, ambulances, fire trucks, and even lawn mowers. He will stand at the window for 30 minutes watching someone mow the lawn, and then ask to mow the lawn, and we have to remind him he can't do that until he is bigger. His favorite song is "I'm a little tea pot" and highest on the list is playing airplane and rough housing with dad.

Conner is also getting tons of vocabulary and personality with his words. For instance, for a while now, mom and dad are not allowed to go to the bathroom without all kids coming into the bathroom with them. Recently, mom has asked the kids to giver her "privacy" while she goes to the bathroom. Conner now stands in the bathroom saying, "No privacy" whenever we try to use the restroom. I guess the talking back starts early.

It is so fun to see the personality coming through and all the fun things that fascinate a little two-year-olds mind.
