When Lexi turned 2, we finally gave her peanut butter for the first time. Although we thought she would be okay, we weren't going to chance it before that, as Lexi seems to take everything to the extreme. Now, we are wishing that we would have. She loves her PB&J sandwiches! She scarfs them down faster than any other food. Definitely one of her new favorites. We also would have tried the transition to the new room sooner had we known that it was going to go so well. The first night was a little rough, with Lexi pretty scared and not quite figuring out what was going on. After the third trip up to calm her down, I ended up in tears as well, as I felt like we were torturing her. However, after a little back rub and reassurance, I left, and within a few minutes she was asleep and I was no longer crying. The next night went fairly well until she was flipped the opposite direction with her feet on her pillow, and I asked Brian to pick her up and flip her. He got on the bed, and the mattress collapsed (with no injuries thank goodness). Oops...looks like we did need bed support rails, despite what the dealer told us. So, by the third night, we had a properly installed bed, a girl who was used to her new bed, and parents who learned to leave her in whatever position she wanted to sleep. The last couple nights have gone great, and we fully expect that to continue. We just can't believe she is so big already!
