Daddy Daughter Dance

Alexis and Brian got to attend a daddy daughter dance in public this year. They went with five other couples. They had a good time, esp Alexis who was flying high! Forever a daddy's girl.

Little Gymnists

The boys have been taking gymnastics one afternoon a week this fall. They are both loving it, and the teachers say they are really strong. Mom loves it because they are tired out at the end of the hour. Gavin is especially happy, as he is finally old enough to start participating in some activities and not just watching his brother and sister. 

First Play Date

Alexis got invited on her first play date of a family that we don't know. Whereas to most parents this is a normal occurrence, to us it is a huge gain! With her delayed speech, and therefore, delayed socialization due to her language, we didn't know how she would grow socially. The fact that a kid from her class invited her on his own will is such a huge sign to us! Tate picked her up with his mom to go to a movie. I had warned her that Alexis may sleep through it, since she gets tired in the afternoon from the chemo. Sure enough, when they dropped her off at the end of the movie, she said that Alexis had slept through a lot of it. Apparently, Tate kept checking on her to make certain she was okay. She had a blast, and we are over joyed!

Baldy

We are soon to have another bald kid in our house, as Conner has decided to shave his head again for St. Baldrick's. He is excited to raise money for "kids with cancer" and to "make Lexi feel better." We are proud he has such a big heart.

Valentine's

We had a great Valentine's Day. We started with themed pancakes in the morning. We played during the day and capped off with a fondue dinner, which the kids loved! Such a great, relaxing day.
