Gavin's Baptism

Gavin was baptized on Saturday night at the church we belonged to when we lived back in the QC. We have a church home in St Louis, and both Alexis and Conner were baptized there. However, with Jason and Erika as the Godparents, and other family together for the holidays, we opted to do it at a church back home, and with a pastor who is very special to us. With 10 kids on the Ahlstrand side of the family, and a host of family & friends in attendance, we kind of took over the service, but fortunately everyone was well behaved and it went beautifully.

Fighting with a Con-Man

Uncle JB learned the hard way that you should never challenge a Con-man to a fight... especially our Con-man! 

This bout was hilarious to watch, as Conner wouldn't hit back for the longest time. Then, when he did, he did a few baby punches then looked at both Dad and Mom expecting to be scolded. When no such reaction came, he dug in his heels a little bit and landed a few roundhouses. The hardest part was counseling him afterwards that you never hit anyone... unless someone says it's okay... and that someone is an adult... and you do it gently... etc... etc!

Bunch Family Christmas

Our first event this holiday season was the Bunch family Christmas on the 21st. Sandi and Ava were gracious to host at their new house, where the kids had a blast til bedtime, and the adults had a blast into the early morning hours. The night also included a white elephant exchange, and celebrating the Mayan end of the world with a Shock Top end of the world wheat at midnight.

Peek-A-Boo

The kids are still learning how to interact with Gavin, so dad taught them the peek-a-boo game. As you can see, their attention span for the game lasts even shorter than Gavin's! We'll have to continue to work on this and other nice ways of playing with him!
