Gymnastics

Lexi got invited to a birthday party for her friend Sydney at a gymnastic place. I was a little nervous about it, but Lexi did a great job. For starters, she listened the entire time to where she was supposed to be and what she was supposed to be doing. Secondly, she took turns like a very good girl. Lastly, she ran, jumped (or at least her version), and played in a very coordinated manner (better than her mom who got on the trampoline with her the first time and wiped out in the corner). She loved the trampolines and couldn't get enough of those. I was so excited that I might actually try to sign her up for a gymnastic or dance class, as she loved it so much!

Hollywood

When we were kids, computers were nowhere to be found in the home until maybe high school. And even in college, we remember trekking through the snow late at night to the computer lab in the business building to find dial up connections and write papers. Brian was one of the few people to have a cell phone in college... but it was permanently attached to the car!

Times have changed just a little bit since then. Conner isn't even 16 months of age yet, but in our home he uses an iMac, an iPad, 2 laptops, a digital camera with HD video, an iPod, a Nook, an Evo, a blackberry, and an iPhone. Perhaps we're taking the concept of introducing your child to the importance of technology early in life a little too far!

Saturday Morning Sledding

Fun in the Snow

St Louis doesn't get snow very often, so we decided to take advantage of a Thursday snowfall by getting the kids out in the yard to play in the snow a little bit this weekend. It was 60 degrees a few days before the snowfall & was 50 degrees by the back end of the weekend, but the snow lasted just long enough to get the sled out for a little while on Saturday morning. The kids loved it, and Mom and Dad had a pretty good time, too!
