Water balloons, cars, and smores

We had guests from out of town both Friday night and another friend Sat/Sun. The kids had a blast playing with these little friends they don't get to play with very often. Lots of background play, a water balloon fight, and fun food. Fun for Us to see the adults as well.

Inbetween guests, we also snuck in a grill out at the park and finished that off with smores. Such a great, fun, relaxing weekend.

Rainbows

Alexis had treatment today. Her counts were great, and she didn't flinch or need me to get accessed.

I also took the boys with to treatment and was a little nervous how they (i.e. Gavin) would do. However, when we walked in, we were greeted by Rainbow camp camp in. They basically took the boys for the three hours we were there and did crafts with them. When we went to leave, Conner said, "I like this place better than our house." Guess that's a theme with Rainbow Camp and the pull on our kids.

Kinder bowl

We have gotten Conner together with some other boys going into kindergarten a few times, so they can meet, get to know each other, and have familiar faces when they start school. Today, we went bowling, and the boys had a blast and really interacted. So fun to see them starting these friendships!

Cooks

For Christmas, Mimi had given Alexis a cooking class. We tried to find one she could do with friends, but it was all during the time she can't eat (she can't eat for 2 hours before and 1 hour after her chemo). So, we decided to do one as a mother/daughter combo, and I'm glad we did.

Alexis and I were in charge of making the egg and ham salad sandwiches. At the end, we got to sample the sunflower dip, soup, sandwiches, scones, and cupcakes. It was so fun to read the directions, mix, and spend some time together!
