Learning to Swing

The kids love to go to the park whenever we get a chance. Gavin is usually stuck in the baby bjorn, which he doesn't really mind too much, but recently we decided to try and let him have a little fun as well. We started with him sharing a swing with his siblings (a trick we learned from our neighbor who has twins), but recently let him graduate to swinging on his own. Every time he gets in the swing, he just laughs. He's join the ranks of his siblings as that being the favorite thing to do at the park.

Lexi's first friend

Lexi made her first friend at school this year on her own. Of course she has had friends, but they usually have come from me organizing a play date with a mom and having friends with kids the same age. So, we were excited to hear that Lexi and a girl Brooke really got along at school. Brooke is a mothering type and has taken to helping Lexi when she needs it. So, her mom and I arranged for her to come over after school and play for a little bit. The girls had a blast playing and making bracelets. It's nice now that Lexi is getting words that she can express herself and learn how to make friends on her own!
